Manel Anoro’s work has always devoted a special section to portraying women. Again, the Catalan painter new collection focuses on female nudes, all of them painted in his new studio in Girona during the Spring of 2013 and 2014.

In this series, three models have participated and only one of them was professional. The participation of non-professional models, Anoro’s friends and even women that the artist met by chance is, nowadays, an increasingly common phenomenon. As Anoro says, “today is difficult to find a woman that doesn’t want to be painted and, specially, painted naked. But they only accept if they have assurance that this is a painting, I’m am the painter and they are strictly models. No more stories!”

This new series, consisting of six tables of evocative lights and vibrant colors, once again celebrates the female body and sensuality that emerges from all Anoro work.
